The L. E. Phillips Memorial Public Library is seeking to employ a contractor to manage the Library’s Capital Campaign. The successful candidate will work independently and will need to communicate effectively with a broad range of persons. The position requires knowledge of major gift and grant solicitations, cause-related funding and planned giving. Written and oral communication skills are essential.

 

The position requires a bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university with a major or minor in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent in training and experience. Related experience in development and directing or working in fundraising programs and campaigns may be substituted. Other combinations of training and/or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of these positions will also be considered.

 

This position will be under contract, and includes no employee benefits. Bills will be submitted by the contractor to the Library. Estimated number of hours is 20 hours per week (average) price is negotiable in $15 - $20 per hour range. Contractor is responsible for all taxes.
