American Red Cross Regional Financial Development Specialist
The Chippewa Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is currently taking employment applications for a full time Regional Financial Development Specialist. We are looking for a professional to partner with Chapter staff in Eau Claire, LaCrosse and Winona. to develop regional fundraising strategies and identify community partners. Fundraising activities support Red Cross services and programs in our 17 county service delivery area.
Qualifications
· Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience and success in soliciting and closing major gifts
· Ability to interact with leadership volunteers and staff; capacity to work independently
· Experience motivating and training volunteer solicitors
· The ability to apply strategic and creative thinking while being persistent, energetic and results orientated
· A genuine commitment to the mission, values and work of the Red Cross; ability to articulate the mission persuasively to diverse audiences
· Proficient with windows based word processing, spreadsheets, databases, e-mail and the internet
· Willingness to travel within the regional service delivery area (travel time is approximately 50%)
· Candidate must have a four year degree; 3 to 5 years relevant fundraising/development experience preferred
· Ability to work effectively in a complex organization and at times of disaster, in a fast-paced environment
