Major Gifts Officer
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required. Demonstrated ability to contact individuals over the phone and internet to schedule appointments, make face-to-face visits and build positive relationships between UW-Eau Claire alumni and the university for the purpose of soliciting charitable gifts. Must be highly motivated, organized and flexible and have strong communication skills. Must be able and willing to travel regularly in WI, MN and IL as well as strategic locations in the U.S. where UW-Eau Claire alumni are located. The ability to enhance the diversity of the unit and serve as a role model and mentor for women and/or minorities will be considered an asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contact alumni and friends and schedule appointments regarding gifts to the university.
- Implement strategies for comprehensive efforts to secure major gifts of $10,000 and above and schedule and conduct face-to-face calls with prospective donors.
- Engage in direct and systematic cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major prospects and donors.
- Participate in prospect research activities and strategy and evaluate donor prospects.
- Assist in hosting campus visits and other activities with prospective donors
- Represent the UW-Eau Claire Foundation at various fundraising and other appropriate meetings when warranted. Make formal and informational presentations and provide staff support for projects as assigned.
